Terms of service

ROBAM UK Website Terms and Terms of Sale

Last updated: 4 June 2026

Please read these terms before using our website or placing an order. They explain how contracts are formed, each party's responsibilities, and important information about appliance selection, installation, delivery, returns and business purchases.

Nothing in these terms limits or removes rights that cannot legally be limited or removed.

1. About ROBAM UK

This website is operated by:

ROBAM UK LTD
Company number: 14795393
VAT number: 467148859
Registered office: 20-26 Kay Street, Manchester, England, M11 2DU
Trading and returns address: 22-26 Kay Street, Manchester, M11 2DU

Telephone: 0161 260 2200

In these terms, "ROBAM UK", "we", "us" and "our" mean ROBAM UK LTD.

2. Who These Terms Apply To

These terms apply when you use our website or purchase goods from us.

A Consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

A Business Customer is a person or organisation purchasing wholly or mainly for trade, business, craft or professional purposes, including for installation, resale, a development project, a client's property or commercial premises.

Sections specifically marked for Business Customers apply only to Business Customers. Consumer rights do not apply to a genuine Business Customer purchase.

If you are purchasing partly for business and partly for personal use, tell us before ordering if you are unsure which terms apply.

3. Other Policies and Contract Documents

The following documents form part of the contract where relevant:

A specific written agreement for your order takes priority over these general terms. A specific policy takes priority over these general terms for the subject it covers. Your statutory rights always take priority where applicable.

The version of these terms and policies made available when your contract is formed applies to that order.

4. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful personal or business purchasing purposes.

You must not:

  • Use the website fraudulently or unlawfully.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts, systems or data.
  • Introduce malware or interfere with the website's operation or security.
  • Use automated methods in a way that disrupts or overloads the website, bypasses access controls, or extracts protected or personal data.
  • Copy, reproduce or commercially exploit our protected content without permission.
  • Submit false, misleading, abusive or infringing content.

We may reasonably restrict or suspend access where necessary to protect customers, our business, the website or third parties.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may maintain, update or change it without notice.

5. Product Information and Availability

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, prices, images and specifications are accurate.

Please note:

  • Screen settings, lighting and photography may affect the appearance of colours and finishes.
  • Dimensions and weights may be subject to normal manufacturing tolerances.
  • Performance figures may be measured under stated test standards or controlled conditions. Actual performance can depend on installation, duct diameter, duct length, bends, outlet restrictions, room conditions, filters, maintenance and use.
  • Images showing installed kitchens are illustrative and do not replace the exact model dimensions or installation manual.
  • Accessories, installation work and other items shown in images are included only where the product page or written order confirmation says they are included.

We will not substitute a materially different product after accepting your order without your agreement. We may make minor changes that do not materially affect the product's function, appearance or value, or changes required for safety or legal compliance.

Products are subject to availability. Showing a product on the website does not guarantee that it is in stock.

Nothing in this section removes a Consumer's right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for a purpose made known to us and accepted by us.

6. Appliance Selection and Installation Suitability

Kitchen appliances must be selected for the property, cabinet, services and proposed installation method.

Before ordering, you must review the exact product page, dimensions, installation manual and fit guidance. Relevant checks may include:

  • Product, hob and cabinet width.
  • Floor-to-ceiling height and mounting height.
  • Cabinet dimensions, cut-out, ventilation, service access and load capacity.
  • Duct diameter, wall opening, route, distance, bends and outside discharge point.
  • Gas type, pressure, electrical supply and connections.
  • Pipes, drains, cables, beams, joists or other hidden or visible obstructions.
  • Whether the product supports external ducting, recirculation or the planned installation method.
  • Any permissions or property rules that apply to the work.

Do not rely only on general marketing images, a similar model or assumptions about standard UK property dimensions.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing:

  • Installation is not included.
  • We do not inspect the property or hidden site conditions.
  • You are responsible for providing complete and accurate measurements, photographs and information.
  • A suitably qualified installer must confirm final site suitability before drilling, cutting, connecting, altering or installing.
  • Gas work must be completed by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
  • Electrical, structural, cabinet and ventilation work must be completed by suitably competent persons.
  • A ducted cooker hood must discharge to a suitable outside point and must not discharge into a loft, roof, ceiling or other enclosed void.

Any pre-sale guidance we provide is based on the information you supply. We are not responsible for an unsuitable result to the extent it was caused by incomplete or inaccurate information, hidden site conditions, a later change to the proposed installation, or work by a third party. This does not exclude responsibility where our written advice was negligent or where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

7. Third-Party Installers and Installation Costs

An installer, kitchen fitter, builder, electrician, gas engineer, courier or other third party is not our employee or agent unless we expressly appoint them in writing.

We are not responsible for third-party workmanship, incorrect installation, damage caused during installation, unsuitable alterations, failure to follow the manual, or failure to comply with applicable requirements, except to the extent the matter was caused by our breach or by a defect for which we are legally responsible.

Before installation, check that the delivered product:

  • Is the model and size ordered.
  • Is complete and visibly undamaged.
  • Matches the planned cut-out, services and installation.

Do not install, connect, drill, cut or alter the property if the product appears damaged, incorrect, incomplete or unsuitable. Contact us first.

We do not automatically reimburse installation, removal, reinstallation, cabinet alteration, wall work, decoration or third-party attendance costs. Contact us before incurring such costs. Nothing in this clause excludes costs or losses that we are legally responsible for.

8. Placing an Order and Contract Formation

The website allows you to review and correct your order before submitting it. Please check the product, model, size, colour, quantity, delivery address and contact details carefully.

When you place an order, you make an offer to buy the goods. An automated order acknowledgement or payment authorisation confirms receipt but does not mean we have accepted the order.

The contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation or otherwise expressly confirm acceptance in writing. A separate contract is formed for each item included in a dispatch confirmation.

Before acceptance, we may decline an order for a legitimate reason, including:

  • The product is unavailable.
  • We cannot deliver to the address.
  • Payment is not authorised.
  • We reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, unauthorised resale or export.
  • There is an obvious pricing or description error.
  • A legal or safety restriction prevents supply.

If we decline an order after receiving payment, we will refund the relevant amount promptly.

You must provide complete and accurate billing, delivery and contact information and must be authorised to use the selected payment method.

9. Prices, VAT and Payment

Website prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.

Standard delivery to eligible UK mainland addresses is free for the appliances identified in our Shipping Policy. Any additional delivery or service cost will be shown or agreed before the order is placed.

We may change prices before an order is accepted. Price changes do not affect an accepted order.

If there is an obvious pricing error that you could reasonably have recognised, we may contact you before dispatch and offer the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling the order. Nothing in these terms affects the legal rules applying to mistakes.

Payment must be authorised before dispatch unless we agree written credit terms with a Business Customer.

We may carry out reasonable payment, identity, address and fraud-prevention checks. We may delay or decline an order where reasonably necessary to complete those checks.

10. Promotions, Bundles and Discounts

Promotions, discount codes and bundle offers may have additional terms. Unless stated otherwise:

  • They cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • They cannot be combined with another promotion.
  • They apply only during the stated period and while stock lasts.
  • A returned bundle item may reduce or remove the bundle discount when calculating a refund.

We will not use promotion terms to remove a Consumer's statutory rights.

11. Delivery

We offer free standard delivery on appliances to eligible UK mainland addresses, as described in our Shipping Policy.

We do not normally deliver to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight or the Channel Islands unless agreed before ordering.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date in writing. We will contact you if a significant delay occurs.

Large appliances are normally delivered by pallet or specialist freight to a safe, accessible unloading point outside the property. Delivery does not include installation, movement inside the property, packaging removal or disposal of an existing appliance unless agreed in writing.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing an accurate delivery address and telephone number.
  • Ensuring suitable vehicle access, parking and a safe unloading point.
  • Ensuring an authorised adult is available to accept delivery.
  • Telling us before dispatch about known access restrictions.

If delivery fails because of incorrect information, lack of access, customer unavailability or refusal without a product-related reason, we may charge the actual and reasonable redelivery, storage or return cost where legally permitted and properly disclosed.

For Consumers, risk of loss or damage remains with us until the goods come into the physical possession of you or a person you identify to take possession. Different rules may apply where you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer.

Ownership transfers after we receive full payment.

12. Delivery Inspection and Evidence

Please inspect the pallet, packaging and goods as soon as reasonably possible.

If packaging is visibly damaged, note it with the driver where possible, take photographs before opening, retain all packaging and contact us promptly, preferably within 48 hours. Prompt reporting helps us make a carrier claim but does not affect a Consumer's statutory rights.

Do not install or use goods that appear damaged, incorrect or incomplete.

We may ask for reasonable photographs, video, serial numbers, packaging, delivery notes, installation information and other evidence needed to investigate an issue.

13. Cancellation and Change-of-Mind Returns

Consumer cancellation rights, our additional 30-day goodwill return, return conditions and return procedures are set out in our Delivery, Cancellations, Returns and Installation Suitability Policy:

https://robamuk.com/policies/refund-policy

For most online Consumer purchases, the Consumer may notify us of cancellation within 14 days after the day of delivery and must return the goods within the following 14 days.

For a change-of-mind return, the Consumer is responsible for the direct return cost unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Large appliances usually require insured pallet transport. The estimated direct return cost is approximately £100 for most UK mainland collections. The actual cost is location-dependent and may exceed £100 for Central London, congestion-controlled areas, remote or rural locations, the Highlands, islands and other difficult-to-serve areas.

Installation, connection, drilling, cutting, alteration, scratches, grease, missing parts, damaged packaging or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods may cause a deduction for diminished value, as permitted by law.

Business Customers do not have Consumer cancellation rights. See section 20.

14. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods

Consumers are legally entitled to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for their normal purpose and any particular purpose made known to and accepted by us, and as described.

If you believe goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, incomplete or misdescribed, contact us promptly and do not continue installing, using, altering or repairing them unless we advise you to do so.

We may request reasonable evidence, troubleshooting or inspection to identify whether an issue relates to the product, installation, site condition or use.

Where your statutory rights apply, we will provide the remedy required by law and cover reasonable return or collection costs.

A site, cabinet, duct route, wall opening, gas supply, electrical supply or proposed installation that is unsuitable for the selected model does not by itself mean the product is faulty.

15. Warranty

Our published commercial warranty currently provides a one-year parts warranty and a five-year motor warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase:

https://robamuk.com/pages/warranty-returns

The commercial warranty is additional to, and does not replace or limit, a Consumer's statutory rights.

Warranty coverage may not apply to issues caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, failure to follow the manual, unsuitable services, poor maintenance or normal wear and tear. This does not exclude an inherent product fault or any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

Proof of purchase, model, serial number, photographs, video and installation information may be required to assess a claim.

16. Safety, Recalls and Product Changes

Follow the product manual, safety notices and maintenance instructions.

Do not use a product that appears unsafe or has developed a potentially dangerous issue. Isolate it safely where appropriate and contact us.

We may contact customers about safety information, corrective action or a product recall. You must not remove, alter or obscure serial numbers, compliance labels or safety labels.

17. Our Responsibility to Consumers

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for loss or damage to the extent it was caused by:

  • Inaccurate or incomplete measurements or information supplied by you.
  • Hidden or unsuitable site conditions.
  • Incorrect or unauthorised installation, alteration, repair or maintenance by a third party.
  • Failure to follow the product manual, safety instructions or our reasonable written guidance.
  • Misuse, accidental damage or use outside the product's intended purpose.
  • Duct restrictions, services or property conditions that are not defects in the product.
  • Events outside our reasonable control.

We supply Consumer goods for domestic and private use. If a Consumer uses goods for commercial, business or resale purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost revenue, business interruption or lost opportunity.

We do not exclude or limit responsibility where it would be unlawful, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory Consumer rights, or defective products under applicable law.

18. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption, strikes, utility failure, supply-chain disruption, fire, flood, epidemic, government action or import restrictions.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and will contact you where the delay is significant. If performance becomes impossible or there is a substantial delay, either party may have a right to cancel the affected part of the order and receive an appropriate refund.

19. Business Customer Status

This section and section 20 apply only to Business Customers.

By placing a Business Customer order, you confirm that:

  • You are acting wholly or mainly for business purposes.
  • You have authority to bind the business.
  • You have carried out your own assessment of the product and installation requirements.
  • Any person installing or reselling the product is suitably competent and complies with applicable law.

If you require a quotation, trade credit, installation service, resale rights or project-specific obligations, these must be agreed in writing.

20. Additional Terms for Business Customers

20.1 Consumer rights and returns

Business Customers do not have Consumer cooling-off or cancellation rights. The additional 30-day Consumer goodwill return does not apply unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Business returns require prior written authorisation and are subject to the agreed return conditions and actual reasonable delivery, collection, handling or diminished-value costs.

20.2 Inspection and notification

A Business Customer must inspect goods as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery. Visible transit damage, shortages or incorrect goods should be reported within two working days where reasonably possible so that carrier claims can be protected. Latent defects must be reported promptly after discovery.

Failure to meet the preferred reporting period does not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded, but the Business Customer is responsible for loss caused by an unreasonable delay in reporting or failure to preserve evidence.

20.3 Risk and title

Risk passes to the Business Customer when the goods are delivered to the agreed delivery location or collected by the Business Customer or its carrier.

Title remains with us until we receive all amounts due for the goods. Until title passes, the Business Customer must keep unpaid goods identifiable, in good condition and separate where reasonably possible, and must not dispose of or alter them except in the ordinary course of business. Subject to applicable law, we may recover unpaid goods if payment becomes overdue.

20.4 Payment

Payment is due at checkout unless written credit terms are agreed.

For overdue Business Customer payments, we may claim statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.

20.5 Resale, installation and representations

A Business Customer must not:

  • Remove or alter serial numbers, safety labels or compliance markings.
  • Make unauthorised guarantees, performance claims or representations on our behalf.
  • Represent itself as our agent or authorised installer unless agreed in writing.
  • Export or resell goods without ensuring compliance with the destination's laws, approvals, instructions and safety requirements.

The Business Customer is responsible for claims, losses and costs caused by its negligent installation, unauthorised modification, unlawful resale, or unauthorised promises to its customer, except to the extent caused by our breach.

20.6 Business liability

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of title, defective products under applicable law, or any matter that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable to a Business Customer for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity, anticipated savings or goodwill.

Subject to the paragraphs above, our total aggregate liability arising from each Business Customer order will not exceed the total price paid or payable for the goods giving rise to the claim.

Each limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law and subject to any applicable test of reasonableness.

21. Intellectual Property

The website and its text, branding, photographs, videos, graphics, manuals and other content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property law.

You may view and print content for legitimate personal use or for assessing, installing or using products purchased from us. You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit protected content without permission, except where law permits.

ROBAM and related marks belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms grants a right to use them.

22. Reviews, Photos and Other Submitted Content

If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, video or other content, you confirm that:

  • It is accurate and based on your genuine experience.
  • You own it or have permission to submit it.
  • It does not infringe another person's rights or contain unlawful material.
  • Any incentive received for the review has been disclosed.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, edit for length or formatting, publish and use the submitted content to operate and promote our business. We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, irrelevant or infringes rights. We will not prevent publication solely because a genuine review is negative.

23. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website is hosted by Shopify and may use third-party payment, delivery, communication or other services.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their independent content, availability or services.

Your purchase contract for ROBAM UK goods is with ROBAM UK LTD, not Shopify.

24. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy:

https://robamuk.com/policies/privacy-policy

We may use payment, identity, address and fraud-prevention providers where reasonably necessary to process and protect transactions.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms for future website use and future orders.

Changes do not alter an existing accepted order unless:

  • The change is required by law or safety requirements;
  • It does not materially disadvantage you; or
  • You agree to it.

Keep a copy of the terms and policies supplied or made available when ordering.

26. Transfer, Waiver and Severability

You may transfer your rights under a Consumer contract where the law allows. Otherwise, neither party may transfer an order contract in a way that materially reduces the other party's rights without consent.

We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation if this does not reduce a Consumer's rights.

If we do not immediately enforce a right, we may still enforce it later.

If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

27. Complaints

Contact us first so we can investigate and try to resolve the issue:

Email: info@robamuk.com
Telephone: 0161 260 2200

For returns, delivery damage, faults and installation disputes, written communication and supporting evidence help both parties maintain a clear record.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from exercising legal rights.

28. Governing Law and Courts

For Consumers, these terms are governed by English law, but a Consumer retains any mandatory protections provided by the law of the part of the UK in which they live. A Consumer may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where they live.

For Business Customers, these terms and each order are governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
