FAQ
Please read before buying or installing your range hood
Before purchasing or installing a range hood, please take a good read through our Range Hood Installation & Cabinet Planning Guide. It explains important points such as cabinet planning, under-cabinet installation, hidden built-in designs, side-draft models, duct routing, ceiling height, clearance requirements and common installation issues.
What duct size and wall opening do I need?
For the best performance, please take a good read through our Range Hood Duct Size and Pa Guide. It explains how duct size, wall openings, duct route, turns and static pressure can affect extraction performance. We recommend using the original duct size where possible, or a suitable 15cm–18.5cm opening with the correct accessories.
How does the "Non-disassembly and Wash-Free" technology work?
ROBAM range hoods use "Non-disassembly and Wash-Free" technology with a powerful filter that blocks over 92% of heavy oil molecules. The inner cavity has an oil-repellent coating, guiding light oil into the cup and keeping the cavity clean long-term.
Why does stir-frying mode run only 3 minutes?
Heavy fumes peak when food hits the pan, lasting about 2 minutes. ROBAM extends airflow to 3 minutes for full coverage. Like inverter air conditioners, variable-frequency technology adjusts airflow for efficiency, lower noise, and energy savings.
How to reserve installation dimensions?
CleanAir, Tornado, Dual-vent Series: 650–750 mm
R-Max & Ultra-slim Series: 300–400 mm
Please consult local ROBAM service for installation advice.
Does the range hood have delayed shutdown?
Please follow the hole dimensions provided with your gas stove to ensure proper installation.
Why won’t my gas stove ignite?
Possible causes: No gas supply / Poor electrical contact / Blocked pipeline / Misaligned ignition needle / Dead batteries. Otherwise, please contact ROBAM service for help.
What is flameout protection?
It shuts off gas if the flame is extinguished by water, soup, or wind—preventing leaks and ensuring safety.
How to clean a gas stove?
Use professional cleaners for heavy grease. Avoid steel wool to prevent scratches.
Baking tray in steam mode or vice versa?
Not recommended. Steam trays yellow in bake mode; baking trays collect water in steam mode. Use baking trays for multi-stage cooking.
What is the quality of ROBAM combi ovens?
Most have starry blue enamel cavities, resistant up to 500℃ and easy to clean. Titanium-plated models resist rust and yellowing better than stainless steel.
Is the cavity temperature uniform when baking?
Yes. The 3D baking system ensures even heat and browning, allowing multiple layers at once.
Are combi ovens as professional as single-function?
Yes. They match single-function performance and add features like 150℃ steam, humid baking, and steam-bake combinations for healthier, tastier meals.
Do I need to drill a 200×200 mm ventilation hole?
Yes, usually at the back. If not possible, drill on the side.
